FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I watch Sling TV on multiple devices at the same time?
Sling TV is delivered through a single stream, which means you may use the service on as many devices as you like, but viewing is limited to one device at a time.
HBO includes up to three streams. Sling International includes one stream and permits up to three simultaneous streams for an additional cost.
How does the HBO offering from Sling TV differ from HBO On Demand, HBO Go and other HBO offerings?
Sling TV has one live HBO channel which is available for $15/month as an add on to subscribers of the Best of Live TV package or select Sling International
packages. We're in the process of on-boarding the full library, which will consist of the same great original series, movies, documentaries and other long-form
content as available on HBO GO and HBO NOW. Sling TV with HBO is available on all of our supported devices. Sling TV offers three simultaneous streams of HBO in
addition to a stream of the Best of Live TV package.
Can I adjust the quality of video to reduce the amount of data used?
Yes, you can - in the settings on the app.
How can I find out what features are on what channels?
Sling TV includes a 3-day replay feature that allows you to watch shows that have aired in the past three days on the following channels: HGTV, DIY, Travel Channel,
Cooking Channel, Food Network, Galavision, El Rey, Univision Deportes, Universal Sports, and beIN Sports and we expect this list to grow.
Is the On Demand library similar to DISH?
The movie library is very similar. The on demand content will vary by channel and programmer.
What internet speed is required to view Sling TV?
The same internet speed is required to watch Sling TV that is required for similar content on platforms like Netflix and Hulu. In order to watch in HD, you will
need at least 5Mbps.
Is the content on Sling TV broadcast in HD?
Sling TV provides a high quality television experience inside and outside of the home, anywhere a wired, WiFi or mobile broadband connection is available. The
service is delivered over an IP based content delivery system that leverages adaptive bitrate streaming technology. This allows for the highest quality streaming
experience possible regardless of network quality fluctuations or location, making virtually indistinguishable from the quality you would find from a traditional
pay TV provider's HD experience.
Is there DVR functionality on Sling TV?
Currently, there is no DVR functionality on Sling TV but there is 3 day replay on all Scripps and International channels. This gives customers the ability to watch
some shows that have aired over the past 3 days; no DVR needed. Pause and rewind are available on certain channels as well.
How many days ahead can you view in the guide?
7 days.
Can you skip ads on Sling TV?
No, you cannot skip ads on Sling TV.
Can I get locals with Sling TV?
Currently, we don't offer local programming with Sling TV.
